Ponzi schemes, false roadmaps, &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Shit happens, but with a proper due dilligence you can minimize the risks.<\/p>\n<h1>Basic due dilligence (basic questions)<\/h1>\n<p>The general consensus about due dilligence is: do a standard due diligence as if it is a traditional company, plus check specific questions from the blockchain environment. Things such:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exaggerated returns percentages.<\/li>\n<li>Not clear or very complicated transaction fees.<\/li>\n<li>Who are the owners? (yes, some of the ICOS I have read they do not add any name, incredible isn&#8217;t it?)<\/li>\n<li>Do they have a clear roadmap?<\/li>\n<li>Are they achieving the defined roadmap?<\/li>\n<li>What is the implemented token model?<\/li>\n<li>What is the value of the\u00a0cryptoasset in the value chain of economy?<\/li>\n<li>How the crypto asset is evaluated?<\/li>\n<li>Is the consensus model a trusted one?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I will list the ones that I know that happened, ordered by scammed amount:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pincoin.io\/\">Pincoin token<\/a>:\u00a0A Vietnamese cryptocurrency company Modern Tech.
