Some learnings I got today after some bumpy calls with a client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had a call to demo a couple of AI tools to an Indian client. They work with Ingenium and the person doing the demo used a couple of comments about Integral product (another product family from DXC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the clients that is old enough commented that he did not like the examples related to Integral and reminded us that Integral was a competitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We saved the situation, and after the call I called one of the experienced DXC guys on the call. I asked about the comment and he commented me that Ingenium is a product family that comes from the CSC days and Integral came from HPE, and in the old days they were fierce competitors in the segment, especially in APAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I could not resist the temptation to ask for other examples of integrations by acquisition and this person gave me another example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vantage\/wmA and CyberLife used to be fierce competitors as well. Vantage was developed by a company called Vantage Computer Systems and CyberLife was developed by a company called CyberTek<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vantage was acquired by DST which sold us to The Continuum Company which was acquired by CSC<\/p>\n\n\n\n
