I have Sametime 8.02 installed and want to remind this configuration.<\/p>\n
Step 1.- Create new server community<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n 1. File, Create new server community, enter all data below<\/p>\n Server Community name:<\/p>\n https:\/\/my.screenname.aol.com\/_cqr\/login\/login.psp?sitedomain=sns.webmail.aol.com&lang=en&locale=us&authLev=0&siteState=ver%3a4%7crt%3aSTANDARD%7cat%3aSNS%7cld%3awebmail.aol.com%7cuv%3aAOL%7clc%3aen-us%7cmt%3aAOL%7csnt%3aScreenName%7csid%3aed9a6c46-58c3-4782-ad97-9031ce424c32&offerId=newmail-en-us-v2&seamless=novl&xchk=false<\/p>\n username \/ password: your aim username password<\/p>\n Host server: my.screenname.aol.com<\/p>\n Server Community port: 80<\/p>\n 2. Save.<\/p>\n Step 2.- Communicate with AOL and AIM users, you can add AIM users:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Start Sametime 8.02<\/p>\n File, New, Contact<\/p>\n 2. Check the box ‘Add External User By E-Mail Address’<\/p>\n 3. In the E-mail box type the AOL-Buddy@aol.com<\/p>\n ex.\u00a0 JohnSmith@aol.com<\/p>\n This entry must contain @aol.com .<\/p>\n 4. Next to ‘Add To Group’, click Change.<\/p>\n In the ‘Create a New Group’ box, type AOL , click OK.(Perform this step only once if you add other users).<\/p>\n 5. Make sure the ‘Add To Group’ box is set to AOL.<\/p>\n 6. In the ‘Provider’ box pull down AOL .<\/p>\n 7. Click ‘Add’, ‘Close’ .<\/p>\n 8.\u00a0 This is the most important step.<\/p>\n Contact the AOL\/AIM user and have them perform one of the following:
\na) Allow all users to contact them\u00a0 or
\nb) Add\u00a0 Shortname@companyname.com to their Buddy List.<\/p>\n
