The life of Igor Ansoff deserves to be reviewed, his origins, his background and his work in the military space.
He created an strategic planning tool focused on the growth of the business.
In the Wikipedia page of the Ansoff Matrix there are a couple of criticisms mentioned, but interestingly, it’s not mention the lack of situational awareness as one of them.
I have not applied the tool but I guess that part of the exercise includes the analysis of the context.
I figure it out as Igor Ansoff is recognized as the first person mentioning the concept of “weak signals”.
