This book written by General Stanley McChrystal is part of the readings I’m doing as part of a book-club readings.

I have discovered things as:

  • Scientific management by Frederick Taylor,
  • Reductionist approach,
  • Revision of the beginning of the manufacturing industry.

The rest of the book is full of anecdotes and other stories that are very common on these type of books, and that make me feel like I’m reading an old book again. Probably if I read this book 10 years ago, I would have been surprised with many other things.

For instance, if you have read Team Topologies, do not read this one, Team Topologies cover better and with more concrete information how to work in complex environments.
