AI, the bad actor and the lack of accountability

I would like to pay attention to 1 of them: Loss of strategic control.

Now let’s see how the bad actor is using AI in organizations.

  • Sending AI minutes after a meeting (we all have accepted it as valid source of information, while many times do not reflect the real agreements, clear actions).
  • Creating documents using AI.
  • Etc…

This is accelerating the amount of outputs being delivered, but not necessarily the value added. Who is accountable of all these outputs?

here is where the loss of strategic control happens.

Not too many people is paying attention to it, but this is happening in many places.

Some people (bad actors) are reducing their daily work from 8 to 4 hours, kicking the ball out of their side of the court, and provoking in some cases the acceleration of the things in the wrong direction. These are early adopters, but soon early majority will adopt these habits, and I foresee LinkedIn will be full of posts like “101 ways of avoiding AI spamming in your own company” (for sure generated by AI).

Now some of my replies for certain mails are:

  • Can you explain in plain English what is the problem this document tries to solve?
  • Can you rewrite the actions of the minutes with concrete names, clear action, and expected date of delivery?
  • Could you please add a table in the document adding the author and reviewers of this document?
