Reading PMThink! I have discovered this tool: liquidplanner, it has allowed me to discover how a tool facilitates the management of the concepts handled in this kind of management.
I like:
- It’s a SaaS and all its advantages,
- It’s not only a planner, it allows you to add documentation, collaborate through discussions. Each task is a discussion opened to add comments to them.
- It marks tasks “at risk” or “needs attention” depending upon how late it looks like it will be, I need to see what’s the criteria.
- A lot of details that makes life easy as “print schedule as PDF”,
I don’t like:
- I cannot manage the effort done on each task in terms of hours scheduled/performed.
- It’s a mess to integrate big amount of linked tasks.
Probably the 2 issues I don’t like are due to lack of knowledge.
I see this tool focused on Crtitical chain management method. Isn’t it?
