2022 – 23 Season
This is my view of the Miami Heat, they are a strong franchise with a strong culture and committed owners and direction.
In 2019-20 they reached the finals, last season the reached conference finals. For this 2022 – 2023 season they are a contender:
- They have added Lowry as veteran and they keep the core of the team.
- Some of the young players as Herro and Robinson has gained experience and they continue scouting out of the drafted lists getting great results. At the end of the year it would not be a surprise to discover another undrafted that is doing great.
- The offensive impact is one of the weakness of the team, specially on some moments where just Butler or Adebayo cover the offensive responsibility. In large series this is a problem because the other teams focus on the fatigue of the main players, knowing they cannot be 100% in a 7 games series.
- My feeling is that they will give at least one surprise in the playoffs.
Since Pat Riley arrived to the franchise “Culture” has been the slogan that have driven their destiny:
