10 months ago I organized a session to discuss about weight loss drugs. I have followed this sector and I found many advance in just 10 months, so that I felt interested to discuss again with others about it.
This was the result map. But I would like to add some comments we reviewed.

Notes:
- In US the pharma companies have the risk of having class action lawsuits. If this happen typically what Europe does is to take these sentences as reference to limit or prohibit certain drugs.
- Some workers syndicates are making pressure to force insurance companies to add these weight loss drugs as part of their plans. If this happens, we anticipate that some things happen:
- The workers will demand these drugs through the insurer,
- the insurer will take all this demand, and will go to the pharma companies to negotiate rebates.
- The pharma company will increase the prices as the majority of the demand will move through these insurance channel.
- The existence of the pill as product instead of the injection was also commented.
- Novo is testing the pills in India, not in their main market.
- We suspect (we have no evidence), that is by 2 reasons.
- They want to test the drug and understand real performance.
- They have a lot of inventory of injections, and they probably are trying to sell all this before to start promoting the pills.
- US is the main market.
- We understand that users will prefer a pill to an injection by different reasons, despite the fact that the performance is worse than the injections.
- One of the risks of these pills is not meeting user expectations.
Thank you for the participation.
